Meet Mack's 'Cousin'

I have needed to write this little story down forever so I don't forget it. However, I am aware that this is a story that probably his mom is the only one who thinks it is cute. So please don't feel pressured to leave a comment saying this story is .... cute? ... precious ..? ha ha

Mack has a cousin. Human? No. He is a weird looking puffy stuffed monster that someone gave me at my baby shower. I had forgotten that I even had this monster until 4 or 5 months after Mack was born.
Well needless to say Mack instantly fell in love with cousin and he loves to have him with him everywhere. great. Well a tragedy happened in my young Mack's life. (or maybe was just the result of a careless mother who loses everything) Cousin went missing.

A few weeks later we headed out to Old Navy for some little necessities. I was perusing the little kid section and was surprised to here Mack whining about something. When I looked down I realized he had spotted a NEW cousin and was whining for it. Wow I felt like homeward bound had just happened and somehow cousin had come back to us. (don't pretend like you all didn't watch that movie) What was I supposed to do? It was the most adorable thing ever, so like a sucker of a mom I bought him a new puffy cousin. He LOVES that thing and was so happy to carry it throughout Old Navy.

A couple weeks later we found missing cousin under a seat in Cody's truck. So now we have cousin, and we have 2nd cousin? lol.

Mack doesn't mind.

**side note** I have no idea how the puffy monster came to be called cousin.

Thanksgiving Madness

Thanksgiving this year was fantastic. We ate 3 fantastic dinners. The first gluttonous feasting was with the Harris Family (Cody's mom's side) at noon. After there we headed out to the Huffaker extravaganza at 2. The Following day we had another Thanksgiving dinner with the Theriot's.

I am mourning the loss of my 'skinny' jeans.

The Huffakers decided they wanted to dress up like pilgrims and indians. - Mack makes a fantastic indian.

The Huffaker family.

Have I mentioned my sister Deanna had a baby a couple weeks ago? Well she makes a beautiful turkey. Her name is Reagan.

I could never even dream of cooking as good as my mom. - Look at that cheese sauce on the broccoli AND the homemade rolls... mmmm...

This pic was taken yesterday so it doesn't really fit in my Thanksgiving post BUT i couldn't resist posting it. Look at my two men - they are amazing.

The Happiest Place on Earth

I am sorry for all the pictures, but I really couldn't resist! My fantastic in-laws took us on a vacation to the happiest place on earth!!

I. Love. Disneyland.

It was a whole new experience getting to take baby Mack with us. He was such a champ! He did great in the car (thanks to the baby Einstein DVD) and he really was so happy the entire weekend! I'm pretty sure I have the cutest little boy in the entire world, and it helps that he is all smiles all the time! Thank you so much Darin and Lori for taking us!

Although Mack is a little young to fully enjoy the Disneyland goodness he did love certain things. #1 - The Merry-go-round! .... well, not so much the actual ride, but the gold pole that his horse was attached to :). He got so excited every time he saw it. He would hit it and try to get it in his mouth the entire ride. It was pretty awesome! Cody is a bit worried about his son's future loving gold poles.

#2 - Mack LOVED those spiny glowing toys that all the spoiled kids had. You know, the ones that look kind of like a flashlight, but when you push the button it spins super fast and the attached lights spin around. Are you picturing it? ..Well, Mack LOVED them. I wasn't about to buy him one because he would have tried to eat it while it was spinning (disaster). So he just watched other kids carry them around. - Grandpa DID however buy a cool glowing drink of some kind **cough** ridiculous rip off **cough** BUT it proved to be useful because Mack was the recipient of the cool glowy ice cube that came in it. He loves that thing!

We had a fantastic time! Thanks again Huffakers for making Mack's first D-land trip amazing! We love you guys!

Follow up Story

I feel sick. I ate 3 ..count them THREE chocolate muffins and now I want to vomit.

Maybe muffins and diet soda don't make the greatest breakfast.

The End.

As I sat down at my computer this morning I had every intention of catching up this blog. My fam just got back from D-land and I have attended an amazing murder mystery party that I was going to blog about, but I can't. There is something that is giving me more joy at the moment than my memories ever could. I am enjoying one of my favorite breakfasts of all time. A chocolate muffin from Costco and a Diet cherry Pepsi. For all of you who haven't tried a Costco chocolate muffin let me explain. It is like eating the most deliciously moist (I appologize to Cody for using his least favorite word, but there isn't a substitute) Chocolate cake EVER with little soft chocolate chips hiding inside! And the DCP is an obvious choice.

Maybe I will add another entry later today about the important things that happen in my life, but for now I am going to sit here and enjoy the rest of my amazing breakfast!! I hope all of your breakfasts were equally good.

Hallowee 2009

Mack begged me this year to dress him as a snooty French man. I made his little onsie, scarf and shoes like a month ago and when I went to put it on him yesterday they were EXTREMELY tight, but I managed to cram him in there anyway:) We had a pretty relaxing Halloween. Jaxon, my little bro in law had a beatles concert where him and his friends dressed up as the beatles and (with the help of rock band) put on a concert for the neighborhood. It was pretty funny/amazing!!!

How can I top that..

Here are a couple funny Halloween costumes from years past. Me and Cody as Belatrix and Nevil from Harry Potter. Heh heh heh, and then I had to add my all time fav. of Amy (my sister) as Dr. Evil and Ryan (her husband) as Mr. Bigglsworth! Ha ha.
Last year I created palm tree outfits out of green umbrellas that I attached brown balloons to for coconuts. - can't find a pic of that one though. Sad. I am a little worn out this year so
I'm sure out costumes wont be up to par. I guess you will just have to stay tuned to see what we decide to dress up this year as...

My last couple weeks

I have had a c-r-a-z-y few weeks. Mack surprised us with his two bottom teeth a couple weeks ago. He loves chomping down on everything and drooling like a mad man. I should probably just dress both of us in raincoats because we are both drenched constantly. I started working again at my little cafe in the museum. I love it, but hate hate hate leaving Mack every day! School has been demanding lately and then piano on top of everything. Life is good though, its a good busy. These are just random pics of the last couple weeks. I had to add the one of Mack crying because I think he looks like a little angel, but at the time was acting like a little devil.
Mack, you tricky fool you.

-I'm ready to admit it-

Blogging world,
I think I am ready to admit what I have always known to be true but never divulged before. That is that..

I look like Elvis Presley.
There. I said it. I dare you to look at these pictures and tell me that we don't look like siblings. Maybe I AM Elvis a few sex changes later. Is Elvis alive? am I him? I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
BTW. My dad does a Mean Elvis impersonation. The wig I have on came from the getup he wore a few Christmase Eves ago when he sang 'Blue Christmas' - we go all out at the Theriot household. Oh, and try to ignore the weird looking mustache thing I have going on in that picture. Bad lighting? I swear I do wax.

How about you? Am I alone in my Elvis shame, or is there a male celebrity out there that you look like?

Where I'd like to be

Along with constantly wanting doughnuts I also am constantly wanting to be in Disneyland! Today I want to be there more than ever due to having to try and make my brain work once again for school. A lot of my upper division credits are finished and so I am just filling space with lower divisions. Today in my southwest gardening class (like i said, I am just filling space) I went online and the assignment was... go take a picture of yourself next to a tree. ..what the, ummm. okay.?

Maybe I'll post that tomorrow. So for now Disneyland will stay far away. I will just have to watch the Disneyland commercials of other people enjoying the magic.

I need a churro...

and a doughnut

Ruenion Show

Dear Moshers,

Take a look around. Are you in the middle of warped tour? Is everyone high? Are fat, shirtless people smashed all around you? .. NO.. this show is taking place at sweetcakes. I'm pretty sure the phrase 'live, laugh, love' is displayed on the wall. I know you are feeling the music and have the strong desire to flail your bodies around and run into people... but I'd really appreciate it if you would stop being lame.

thanks,

the girl you ran into countless times.

This show was from a couple weeks ago. It was fantastic to pretend that I didn't have any responsibilities and rock out. Cody played some of his socrates johnson (piano) and gitch stuff (guitar) - he is so so talented and fun to watch, even though he doesn't get much time these days to play/write music he still did fantastic! Other bands that played were manhattan project, xyebra, and felix. Ah reunion shows, how I love you!

The video clip is of trev singing with felix. ::goodness::

::thanks to trev and my girl Al who gave me these pics. Next time I'll get some footage of my sexy husband playing.::

The Little Monster

These are a couple pictures I have taken over the last couple days. Mack is so funny. He has way too much personality!!! He loves to yell at me when he is bored. ugh. He fell asleep in Cody's arms and just started smiling up a storm. I had to snap a picture! Sad that we don't have a video camera... I need to craigslist one.

Organ Rejection

I check Woot.com and shirt.woot.com every day. Its an addiction. Today this little gem of a shirt made me laugh out loud. Would I ever buy this shirt? - no, probably not. I wouldn't want to offend anyone. so I will just post it on my blog and laugh.

It happened again last night...

Oh Cody. I love you, really I do but...

I hate middle of the night you. True, sometimes I am entertained by the fact that you hit on me in your sleep, but regardless, you still wake me up. Last night was no different. At least last night was just a night where you silently TRIED to seduce me, unlike the last time this happened when you threw off my covers and then quietly said "perfect opportunity." Oh funny Cody, you need to teach your multiple personalities what you learned early in our marriage... when you wake up Tracy, regardless of what time it is, you will in no way get lucky.

Fascination with Pet Peeves.

For the most part me and Cody are super easy going people. Sometimes I wished that we fought more, just for the sport of it. ..seriously sometimes you just need a good fight to spice things up! As it happens to be though we are both extremely boring. Not much fighting, or getting upset... just hanging out. For this reason sometimes I like to focus on things that make us super annoyed. Might sound strange, but I like seeing things that make Code mad sometimes.. as I’m sure the same goes for him. ALSO I think the things that annoy us also says a lot about us. For this reason I have decided to list mine and Cody’s classic Pet Peeves. I would love to hear all of your pet peeves. Lay them on me!!..

Cody’s
slow mergers
fuzzy television
movies about humans ruining the earth
Overly protective/overbearing mothers (*disclaimer* neither of Cody’s mother figures fit this category)
people that say something in 20 minutes that should have taken 20 seconds

Rae’s

wreaths/bows on cars (mostly in the holiday season)
not enough peanuts in a snickers bar
cars at the front of the line who are ignorant to the green light (esp. in the turning lane!!)
hair on the soap. (especially blond/white hair that is camouflage that acts as a booby trap *ahem* Deanna)
people who think that eating expired dairy products is okay. shnasty.
Talk radio. (I still love you Cody)
devil/angel stickers on cars

sad day.

Sad day. (well, two days ago really.) Michael Jackson died. Despite his later freaky years, he was extremely talented! There is one huge question that remains in my head though. What was this need to be white!? Seriously!!.. Didn’t that piss all the black people off? AND What about his song ‘it don’t matter if your black or white?’ Come on Michael, practice what you preach! And as if anyone would believe he was white, even if he didn’t end up looking freaky weird – what white guy can dance like Micheal? No one..
BTW I was looking up and watching all his music videos and I audibly laughed throughout all of them. Ah, amazing 80’s videos!

Aspen Grove

This trip was our second trip to Utah this month. We (Arnold family) had a family reunion up at Aspen Grove. We do this family reunion every other year in turn with Canada. I've never fully appreciated Aspen Grove until this year... They have amazing day care!!! (which I took full advantage of) they have groups for teens/kids/babies. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my baby.. But it was fantastic being able to drop him off at 9 and then pick him up at 3. It was like I had a job, except I did nothing but paint in the craft lodge, shuffleboard (Yes I am old), played on my g pa's golf simulator, wally balled and more board games that I can count.
Now I am sad because I have to wait 2 more years to go back:(
AND I am doubley sad because I am needing to register for my fall semester, but avoiding it like the plague.

Side note: I don't think this baby is mine. HELLO CODY!!! how are ALL of your genes strong enough to dominate all of mine. This is your mini me..
